At Archery For A Cause, we believe archery is more than a sport — it’s a platform to empower, educate, and unite people from all walks of life. Based in Fryeburg, Maine, we’re proud to offer a unique combination of world-class archery facilities and a deeply rooted mission of community service.
Founded with a passion for both archery and giving back, our organization provides not only a place to shoot, but a place to belong, grow, and make a difference.
Who We Are
We’re an archery club with a cause. Our mission is to make archery accessible, inclusive, and life-changing. Through your membership, donations, and participation, we fund:
Free archery education programs for youth and beginners
High-quality equipment for those who can’t afford their own gear
Accessibility-focused initiatives for physically challenged individuals and veterans
Ongoing course maintenance and safety improvements
Archery For A Cause is driven by volunteers, community support, and the belief that everyone deserves a chance to experience the joy, discipline, and focus that archery brings.
Our Facilities
Whether you’re an experienced archer or brand new to the sport, our facilities provide the perfect environment to learn, practice, and challenge yourself.
Static Target Range
Our 90-yard archery range is open to members and offers the perfect place to hone your accuracy and technique. Well-maintained and set up for both beginners and advanced shooters, it’s ideal for consistent, structured practice.
3D Target Course
Our pride and joy is the 45-target 3D course spread out across scenic Maine terrain. The course features life-sized, realistic animal targets, including:
Full-size grizzly bear, elk, and mule deer
Mountain goat on an incline
Wild boar, coyote, turkey, bobcat, and more
Targets range from 20 to 100 yards, mimicking real hunting environments with uphill, downhill, and angled shots. Whether you’re preparing for hunting season or just want a fun challenge, our course is designed to offer a truly immersive experience.
Indoor Simulator (Coming Soon)
We’re also working on an indoor archery simulator that will be available to members and the public. This will provide year-round practice and fun — even during Maine’s coldest months!
🤝 Why Membership Matters
When you join Archery For A Cause, you’re doing more than just gaining access to incredible facilities — you’re becoming part of a community with purpose.
Your membership fees help support people who otherwise wouldn’t have access to archery, including:
Kids from low-income families
Veterans transitioning back into civilian life
Individuals with physical disabilities
Community members struggling with mental health who benefit from the focus and mindfulness of archery
We are currently raising funds to purchase a tracked wheelchair, which would allow individuals with mobility challenges to independently access and enjoy the full course. It’s just one of many steps we’re taking to ensure that everyone can participate.

Membership Options
We offer simple, flexible pricing to make joining easy for individuals and families.
- Single Summer Membership – $225
- Spouse/Immediate Family Add-On – $75 per person
- Guest (with Member) – $15 per round
- Non-Member Drop-In – $25 per round
- Indoor Simulator – TBD (Coming Soon)
All members will soon be able to reserve tee times online, pay fees digitally, and sign legal waivers via our upcoming calendar system.
💖 Not an Archer? You Can Still Help
You don’t have to shoot arrows to support the cause. Anyone can:
